My role as a Project Manager / Producer
Since 2001 I have been working in lead positions. Back then I was leading a team of students working part time in the Multimedia lab of our University. Since then I have led the GUI design team of a Software Firm, a Multimedia lab creating e-learning material, and currently a team developing social games. As a freelance developer I started getting a lot of work, so I decided to stop being a one-person army and get a team on my side. I have been working on projects with a team ever since. Dealing with international client's and the team's needs has helped me learn and grow a lot as a person and as a leader.
To grow as a leader in the video games industry I decided to attend the first IGDA Leadership Forum and it was such a great learning and networking experience that I have attended every year since then.
Nowadays I lead two teams: One is making all the bits of a tile-based turn-based strategy Facebook game (server and client side work), and I'm the lead Game Designer for a team making a Party Wii game and a set of accompanying casual iPhone titles.
This leads me to talk about me and game design.
